My love of the outdoors leads back to my childhood, growing up in San Luis Obispo, CA.  I would spend my days in and out of the water. From fishing to hiking, and everything in between.  I got my first camera when I was really young. I loved taking pictures of the places I went, mainly wildlife and landscapes. I really enjoyed using my camera but didn't really consider photography a hobby until much later. As I grew older I took up other hobbies, such as scuba diving, spear fishing, and kayaking. I wasn't long before I yearned to take photos underwater. I began with underwater videography and gradually moved to underwater photography. Today I work fully in digital photography.  While underwater I mostly shoot macro, in color and black & white.  Above water I shoot just about everything, but I'm still partial to landscapes and wildlife. I like to take a majority of my underwater photos in our local waters, although some are taken out of the area.  Presently I dive out of my kayak off our local offshore reefs, so I can share our very unique, and almost untouched underwater enviornment with others.
